Vote: LAFC Man of the Match vs. D.C. United

Which player led the way in the big win?

MLS: Los Angeles FC at D.C. United Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Football Club had a big showdown in Washington against D.C. United on Saturday, and came out 4-0 winners at Audi Field. A goal from Carlos Vela and a hat trick from Diego Rossi led the way in the big win.

So, which player was Man of the Match for the black-and-gold? Here are the nominees, as chosen by Angels on Parade staff:

  • Steven Beitashour: The right back had a save off the line and another block in the box to help preserve the shutout.
  • Latif Blessing: Another terrific shift in midfield, and contributed two assists to go along with the ball-winning play throughout.
  • Diego Rossi: Scored three goals and sacrificed his body to draw yet another red card (on Wayne Rooney, no less!)
  • Carlos Vela: A rough start with a saved penalty, but Vela made up for the gaffe with a terrific goal to start the good times and a wicked assist to set up Rossi’s first.
