Phoenix Rising FC hosted Fresno FC on Saturday in USL Championship play, and one Los Angeles Football Club player on loan at Phoenix, defender Tristan Blackmon, played in the match, which ended in a 0-0 draw in Arizona.

Phoenix played more than a half up a man, after Seth Moses picked up his second yellow card in the 40th minute, but despite peppering Fresno with shots, most of them weren’t on frame.

On the other hand in defense Phoenix put up a clean sheet, with Blackmon playing a fullback role again and creating two chances on the night.

The second-year player was the only LAFC loanee to see action for Phoenix on the night, with Lamar Batista an unused substitute and Shaft Brewer, Jr. and both Javi Perez and Josh Perez not making the 18 for the game.

Phoenix are off to a strange start to the season, as they are unbeaten in four games, but all four of those results are draws, so they are second-last in the Western Conference at present. Their next match will be next Saturday at El Paso Locomotive.
