FC Tucson posted a big win on Saturday night, 4-0 at home over the Chattanooga Red Wolves in USL League One play, and on-loan Los Angeles Football Club goalkeeper Phillip Ejimadu played the full 90 and picked up another shutout on the night.
With Tucson sitting on a 2-0 lead, it looked like Ejimadu would concede his first goal of the night, but when he was pulled out of a play, teammate Kyle Venter saved the Chattanooga shot off the line.
From there, it was pretty much smooth sailing, as Tucson dominated the run of play and Ejimadu only had to make one save on the night to get the clean sheet. FC Tucson opened the scoring in the first half through a penalty by Jordan Jones, who was an unsigned draft pick by LAFC in 2018, so another connection to the black-and-gold there.
The other goals on the night came from Kody Wakasa and a brace by Devyn Jambga.
The win moves FC Tucson up to fifth place, just a point out of the playoff places. They will next be in action on Friday at Toronto FC II.
