Los Angeles Football Club played their second game of the week on Sunday, against the same opponent in FC Dallas, and came away with a 1-1 draw. After Ryan Hollingshead gave FCD the first-half lead, Carlos Vela had the second-half equalizer to split the points.
With the regular-season series against Dallas in the books, it’s time to select the LAFC Man of the Match from the second meeting. The nominees, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:
- Mohamed El-Munir: The left back made his first start for LAFC and put in a solid shift. It’s not yet time to anoint him the starter, but he’s likely to give Jordan Harvey more of a run for it as time goes by.
- Mark-Anthony Kaye: The lone midfield holdover from the midweek win, Kaye did his part once again to keep Dallas off-balance, and helped his team dig deep to get the result.
- Carlos Vela: Yes, he missed another penalty, but he made it on the second try to get the draw. Ice in his veins for the star.
