Los Angeles Football Club defeated the San Jose Earthquakes on Thursday in the 2019 U.S. Open Cup, by a 3-1 scoreline. Goals from Diego Rossi, Adama Diomande and Carlos Vela canceled out Vako Qazaishvili’s opener for the Quakes.
With the game in the books, it’s that time again: Vote for the LAFC Man of the Match against the Earthquakes. The nominees, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:
- Latif Blessing: Didn’t have his best first half, but settled into the game and ended up bossing the midfield in the second half to help deliver the win.
- Diego Rossi: Scored the equalizer to jumpstart the rally and assisted the winner. It was his best game in quite some time.
- Pablo Sisniega: Made eight saves to keep LAFC in the game and ultimately preserve the win. A huge shift for the goalkeeper in his second appearance.
