LAFC tried, but they were second-best as they lost 3-2 to the LA Galaxy on Friday. A hat trick from Zlatan Ibrahimovic canceled out Carlos Vela’s brace as the rivalry woes continue for the black-and-gold.
You know the routine: Win, lose or draw, we have a Man of the Match poll for LAFC players. The nominees, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:
- Adama Diomande: The forward didn’t get full purchase on the game, but helped progress the attack with his hold-up play several times.
- Tyler Miller: Arguably the one LAFC player who bested his Galaxy counterpart, the goalkeeper made five saves and frankly kept LAFC in the game despite giving up three goals (all basically unstoppable from him)
- Carlos Vela: Credit to him, it wasn’t a vintage night but he still managed a brace. Vela was stymied but he still tried his best to rise to the occasion but fell just short.
