The annual summer camp/businessman’s lunch Orange County SC midweek matinee is here, as they host Reno 1868 FC on Wednesday afternoon.

By Irvine standards, it’s a hot one, with the temperature set to soar into the 90s, which could make a tricky game ever trickier for both sides.

OCSC enter the game off a rather wild 0-0 draw against San Antonio FC on Saturday at home, a game that saw Leonardo get sent off in stoppage time. The team got a point, but they need to pick up wins, and fast, if they want to get back to the USL Championship Playoffs in 2019.

Reno, meanwhile, are flying, only sitting below Phoenix, who themselves are on a historic run at the moment. Reno have won five games in a row, and with Leonardo out and goalkeeper Patrick McLain rumored to be on his way to a new team, Braeden Cloutier’s side will have to dig deep, stay cool, and try to snap Reno’s terrific run in the OC sunshine.

Tale of the Tape:

Orange County SC: 23 points (5-7-8), 14th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: -3; Last five games: D-L-W-L-L

Reno 1868 FC: 38 points (11-4-5), 2nd place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: +15; Last five games: W-W-W-W-W

How to Watch Orange County SC vs. Reno 1868 FC: The game is scheduled to kick off at 1 pm PT at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine. You can watch the stream only on ESPN3.
