Full time: RSL 0, LAFC 2. Good win under some adversity for the black-and-gold. Thanks very much for following along!
82nd minute: GOOOOOOOL LAFC! Adama Diomande ices the result with a nice finish off Lee Nguyen’s feed. 2-0 lead now.
63rd minute: GOOOOOOOL LAFC! Carlos Vela scores from the spot after being brought down. Aaron Herrera is sent off for denial of an obvious goalscoring opportunity.
48th minute: Red card to LAFC! Walker Zimmerman picks up his second yellow card of the night and he’s off. Bigger challenge here for the black-and-gold.
Halftime: Not much to write home about. LAFC nearly scored on a bloop play, RSL defender was initially sent off for a handball on the line, but VAR correctly rescinded that. Still 0-0, anybody’s game.
Lineups:
LAFC stick with the usual crew at this point in the campaign. They only field six subs this time, however.

Los Angeles Football Club will travel to Salt Lake City this weekend for a Western Conference clash against Real Salt Lake.
LAFC is coming off a 4-2 victory at The Banc against the New York Red Bulls. Although it was not a great performance, Bradley’s squad was able to overcome defensive weaknesses and rebound after giving up a two-goal first half lead. Carlos Vela remains in brilliant form as he dished out two assists and banged in a goal from the spot.
After 24 matches played, LAFC remain 14 points clear atop the Western Conference table. If LAFC manage to win against Real Salt Lake and FC Dallas lose or tie against the Montreal Impact, Bob Bradley’s squad will clinch a playoff berth, becoming the first MLS team to qualify with only 25 matches played.
As of late, Real Salt Lake has been in great form, winning three of its last four contests. Attackers Jefferson Savarino and Albert Rusnak have carried the load for interim head coach Freddy Juarez’s squad. These two give RSL a formidable duo that is capable of causing havoc for opposing defenses.
Odds:
Vegas currently favors LAFC at (+110), while listing Real Salt Lake as home underdogs (+220). The odds for a draw are currently listed at (+265) (Via Bovada).
How to Watch:
This Saturday’s Western Conference tilt between LAFC and Real Salt Lake will be televised by YouTubeTV (LA) and KVMD (LA), ESPN+ in the rest of the United States, starting at 7:00 pm PT with kickoff to follow.
The game will also be carried by local radio affiliates ESPN 710 and KFWB 980.
