Vote: LAFC Man of the Match vs. Galaxy

Which player was tops in a wild game?

MLS: LA Galaxy at Los Angeles FC Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Football Club tied the LA Galaxy 3-3 on Sunday to conclude the MLS regular season portion of the rivalry. Latif Blessing scored a first-half brace before Carlos Vela tallied the important equalizer for the home side.

With that, it’s time to vote for your LAFC Man of the Match. The nominees, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:

  • Eduard Atuesta: Recovered from a horrible first half to help LAFC get control of the game in the second half. His poise helped turn the tide on the match to ensure a result.
  • Latif Blessing: Far and away LAFC’s best player in the first half, without his goals LAFC wouldn’t have had a prayer. One of his best games for LAFC.
  • Mark-Anthony Kaye: Set up the equalizer and also stepped it up in the second half after a brutal opening 45.
  • Carlos Vela: Set up Blessing’s second and scored the equalizer. No question LAFC’s attack lost a key element when he was subbed out, but in terms of trying to preserve Vela for the key games to come, it was a tough but necessary decision.
