Vote: LAFC Man of the Match vs. New England Revolution

Which player led the way far from home?

MLS: Los Angeles FC at New England Revolution Brian Fluharty-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Football Club defeated the New England Revolution 2-0 on Saturday at Gillette Stadium. The goals came courtesy of Diego Rossi and Latif Blessing.

With another victory in the books (never take them for granted!), it’s time to decide the Man of the Match for LAFC from the game. The nominees, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:

  • Eduard Atuesta: Got an assist on the second goal, and while he wasn’t given an easy time in the passing department, his defensive skills were tremendous to keep the Revolution off-balance throughout the game.
  • Latif Blessing: The man nicknamed “Kante” did a little bit of everything, including score the vital insurance goal, in another great two-way shift in midfield.
  • Tyler Miller: The goalkeeper was officially credited with just one save on the night, but he commanded his area, catching crosses and running out to get the ball when necessary. After a couple rough shifts, this was a vintage Miller performance.
  • Diego Rossi: Hit an absolute golazo to get the night started right, and with Carlos Vela having a subdued night by his lofty standards, Rossi was a threat throughout his time on the field and had one of his best games of the season.
