Los Angeles Football Club tied Minnesota United 1-1 on Sunday at Allianz Field. Carlos Vela’s strike was canceled out by Michael Boxall as the teams split the points.
With the result in the books, time to pick the LAFC Man of the Match. Who gets top marks? The nominees, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:
- Eduard Atuesta: Didn’t have a goal or an assist in this one, but the midfielder capped off a magnificent week with another terrific performance in the middle of the park.
- Pablo Sisniega: Came back in and had an outstanding night, making six saves — several spectacular — and ensure LAFC left with something.
- Carlos Vela: Not only did he score, not only did he make an incredible play to change the game, but he wrote his name in the record books with his goal, in tying the single-season scoring record. What a season for the superstar.
