Orange County SC look to make it two road wins in two weeks, and extend their overall winning streak to four games, as they take on Portland Timbers 2 in a Sunday afternoon matinee.
Yet again, they’re taking on a Western Conference team also in the running for a USL Championship playoff spot, with the teams currently separated by one point. Orange County have gotten results lately to go above the playoff line, but the work isn’t done and if they drop a game or two they could be in big trouble for their postseason hopes.
T2’s leading scorer is Dairon Asprilla, but he played for the MLS Timbers on Saturday so won’t feature in the game. Brayan Hurtado, who scored in Portland’s 2-0 win over OCSC in Irvine earlier this year, has five goals on the season.
Tale of the Tape:
Orange County SC: 36 points (9-8-9), 8th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: +6; Last five games: W-W-W-L-D
Portland Timbers 2: 35 points (9-9-8), 11th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: +4; Last five games: W-L-L-W-D
