How to Watch Colorado Rapids vs. LAFC: Lineups, odds, game thread

Can LAFC grab a second straight road win?

MLS: Colorado Rapids at Los Angeles FC Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Update: This game is off. More information on the situation here.

Los Angeles Football Club are scheduled to be back in action Wednesday night, as they take on the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in the teams’ first meeting of the year.

LAFC won their first road game at the weekend, a 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake, and will look to both build on that with another result and to weather the losses of Brian Rodriguez, Diego Palacios and Jose Cifuentes to international duty. LAFC haven’t won consecutive league games yet this year, and the squad being held together by paper clips means the level hasn’t been what we’ve come to expect from the black-and-gold.

But the Rapids have had more on their minds than just soccer lately, as a coronavirus outbreak on the team has led to their last two scheduled games to be postponed. Assuming this game’s on, Colorado haven’t played since Sept. 23, so while they may be refreshed, as long as the outbreak isn’t still raging they may have lost some rhythm and that rest may not be what they’re looking for.

So this may be a weird one for several reasons. We’ll see what happens, but LAFC will have some new faces in the lineup and will look to get another road result in the Rockies.

Odds:

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, as of Wednesday morning, LAFC are (+175) while Colorado are (+123). The odds of a draw are (+290). The bookmakers have LAFC slight underdogs for this one, a tad surprising considering the Rapids haven’t played in awhile, but hey, they could be fresh.

How to Watch:

Wednesday’s match between LAFC and the Rapids will be televised locally on YouTube TV and EstrellaTV, and in the rest of the country on ESPN+. The broadcast is scheduled to start at 6 pm PT with kickoff to follow.
