Big news dropped Thursday in the USL Championship, as Orange County SC stalwart Aodhan Quinn announced his new team...Phoenix Rising FC.

Yes, the talented midfielder has left OCSC for the rival in Arizona, a big move that is likely to be a big hole to fill for Orange County and seems to make Phoenix even more of a juggernaut.

Quinn played for Orange County from 2018-20, making 80 appearances and scoring 23 goals and assists each. Quinn was a league MVP finalist in 2018, Orange County’s best season in their history to date, and provided veteran knowhow, an ability to score and set up opponents, and ice in his veins as he took penalties for the club.

Certainly, movement is normal in the USL Championship and players moving around is extremely common. For a player of Quinn’s quality, three years of his play is itself a very long tenure for Orange County. But it’s the end of an era with him moving on.

OCSC have been announcing some roster moves, we’ll have more info on that shortly.
