Orange County SC will kick off the 2020 USL Championship season with one of the first two curtain-raisers for the whole league on Friday night, as they host El Paso Locomotive at Orange County Great Park.

Season openers are always cause for excitement, but this should be a particularly good time considering the hype surrounding OCSC heading into their 10th season. Their team mixes proven USL Championship contributors and youngsters, returning core players and newbies, and it feels like Orange County could be a real contender.

Of course, they have to face El Paso, a team that was quite tricky in their debut season. Head coach Mark Lowry is back for them after a strong 6th-place finish in the Western Conference last year, and they bring back many of the key players from a multinational squad.

One player on each side is suspended for this game: Omar Salgado for El Paso and Harry Forrester for Orange County.

Angels on Parade will be at the stadium, hope to see you there!

Tale of the Tape:

Orange County SC: 0 points (0-0-0), first game of the season

El Paso Locomotive: 0 points (0-0-0), first game of the season

How to Watch Orange County SC vs. El Paso Locomotive: The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm PT at Championship Soccer Stadium. You can watch the stream on YurView California for Cox subscribers in Orange County, Santa Barbara and Palos Verdes and on ESPN+ outside that local viewing region.
