How to Watch Orange County SC vs. San Diego Loyal

Orange County SC will look to bounce back from their first loss of the 2020 season midweek when they are scheduled to host San Diego Loyal in Irvine Saturday night.

Yes, OCSC’s unbeaten start to the USL Championship campaign, lasting almost through the month of August, came to a halt Tuesday as they lost 3-1 to Las Vegas Lights in Vegas. Aodhan Quinn continued his scoring run for Orange County to open the scoring, but two late goals by Las Vegas flipped and iced the result for them. Still, if you lose once every seven games, that’s pretty good, and Braeden Cloutier and company will aim to turn the page and get a result in this one.

San Diego have sputtered in recent games, and are now on a three-game losing streak. They’re only three points behind OCSC, so a win would be huge for them here, but having played two more games than Orange County so far this season, they have to win AND hope for some help to get past their opponent in the group standings in the long run.

Regardless, there’s plenty to see here, and it will be interesting to see if the players and/or teams make any statements over the course of the night in light of what’s happening in other USL games and the player strike in multiple sports earlier this week. Don’t miss it.
