Orange County SC’s game Friday vs. LA Galaxy II postponed because of coronavirus

But, not due to any positives for OCSC.

If you were eager to watch Orange County SC after their game last week was postponed at the last minute due to a coronavirus outbreak in the state, I have bad news.

Friday’s game against LA Galaxy II has also been postponed. In fact, both games OCSC have had postponed were due to Los Dos, because that team has reportedly had 11 players test positive coronavirus last week. Since Orange County’s scheduled opponent last week, Sacramento Republic, had just played LA, that game was postponed just before kickoff out of an abundance of caution. And with a full-on outbreak with LA, a mere nine days between the news emerging and Friday’s game seemed a bit short for comfort, and Orange County announced the game has been postponed out of an abundance of caution as well.

So, to recap: Orange County haven’t been able to play their last two games because of coronavirus. But so far, they themselves have not had any positive tests. So it goes.

For what it’s worth the following Galaxy II game has been rescheduled, too, so the reverberations are pretty big for the team outbreak. At this time it’s unclear when Friday’s game will actually take place, stay tuned for an update there. And now the next game to look forward to will be Wednesday against San Diego Loyal. Keep your fingers crossed, etc.
