Orange County SC further bolstered their roster ahead of the 2021 season Tuesday with the announcement they have signed forward Ronaldo Damus. The 21-year-old joins after two years with USL League One outfit North Texas SC, the USL squad of FC Dallas.

Damus was the top scorer in USL League One in 2019, with 16 goals in 20 matches, helping North Texas SC win the regular season and playoff titles that year.

He’s also a Haiti international, with two senior caps to date, including his debut as a 16-year-old in a World Cup qualifier in 2016.

“We are delighted to add Ronaldo, one of the top young forwards in the USL to our roster,” said OCSC president of soccer operations Oliver Wyss in a team statement. ”Ronaldo is a real talent with a bright future ahead of him and he will continue to develop in our professional environment. We are looking forward to showcasing him in Orange County and preparing him for his goal to play on the highest level in Europe!”

Damus is the latest player to be added to Orange County’s roster for 2021, and splits the difference between being an up-and-comer and a player with good pro experience elsewhere. Right now, OCSC have 17 players on their roster, and they look like they are fully prepared to go toe-to-toe with the USL Championship Western Conference high rollers in the upcoming season.
