Orange County SC announced this week they are hosting a virtual FIFA 21 tournament. The event proceeds will benefit the OCSC Community Foundation. Those proceeds in turn will be disbursed in the local community to help those negatively affected by the COVID pandemic.

Anyone over the age of 18 who can contribute $30 if selected to participate can enter to get a slot for the tournament, which you can do here. Entries must be made by Mar. 29, and those selected to participate will be done randomly.

“The OCSC Community Foundation utilizes soccer as a vehicle to help people throughout Orange County. Following the great success of our first year, we are eager to find innovative ways to engage our community and to fundraise so that we can continue the work we’ve been doing,” said Executive Director Lisa Keston in a team statement. “OCSC’s FIFA Tournament is a fun, competitive way to help bring in necessary donations to assist local OC communities as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The club promises three special guests will take part in the tournament in the later rounds.

The tournament itself will kick off Apr. 5 and will be streamed on Twitch. There’s a $5,000 prize package combined for the top finishers and for raffle prizes for viewers watching the tournament. Not bad at all!

If you’re a FIFA player, $30 for a good cause isn’t a bad buy-in at all. Best of luck to everyone who gets a golden ticket for the tourney.
