Las Vegas Lights 2021 league scheduled is revealed

The USL released the full 2021 USL Championship regular season schedule on Tuesday, and Las Vegas Lights FC got their full slate released along with the rest of the pack.

The new-look Lights FC will be coached by Steve Cherundolo, and the team will spend most of their time in Los Angeles with LAFC, traveling to games, including home games at Cashman Field in Las Vegas. It’s a new arrangement, but we’ll have to see how it goes for the side in 2021.

The club will play in the Pacific Division this season, and most of the 32 games on the schedule will come against those foes. But there will be four games against out-of-division foes, in Las Vegas’ case: San Antonio FC, El Paso Locomotive, Real Monarchs and on the final day of the regular season, Eastern Conference opponent Tampa Bay Rowdies.

It’s hard to really assess this schedule in part because we don’t know the Lights FC squad yet, beyond assumptions about the players coming over from LAFC. But here’s the schedule, and we’ll see how the roster comes together ahead of the May 5 kickoff in Carson.
