After notching their first win of the 2021 season, Orange County SC found space to make it on the USL Championship Team of the Week.
Attacker Chris Wehan was on the main Team of the Week for Week 5 of the 2021 regular season. The new Orange County SC man scored the game-winner against Sacramento Republic on Saturday in OCSC’s home opener.

Wehan is the first OCSC player recognized this season, which isn’t a big surprise considering this is through just two games. Hopefully there’s far more selections to come, congrats to Chris.
In other news, OCSC jumped up six spots in the USL Championship Power Rankings this week, up to No. 10. I always thought a No. 16 mark was pretty harsh, so good to see them make the move up. There’s a lot of teams and quite a few good teams, but if Orange County are going to contend this year, they’ll have to keep picking up wins.
Speaking of which, the next one is Saturday against LA Galaxy II at home. Another big game, another big opportunity for OCSC.
