Orange County SC will aim to make it five games unbeaten and get a measure of revenge on LA Galaxy II when the teams meet for the second time this season, this time on Wednesday at Dignity Health Sports Park.
OCSC have three wins in their last four, most recently a professional 3-1 result over Las Vegas Lights on the road. After going down just before halftime, a brace by a red-hot Ronaldo Damus and Robbie Kiernan’s first goal for the club flipped the result and helped Orange County vault up the standings.
They’re taking on a Los Dos side that has struggled lately after a hot start to the campaign, most recently losing to Las Vegas a week ago. I don’t think Galaxy II are playing terribly of late, but they’ve shown a few youthful mistakes lately, and if they’re pressed into mistakes, opponents can torch them.
Of course, remember that LA beat Orange County 4-3 when these teams last met, in a game that was very entertaining for the neutral. Since that loss, OCSC haven’t lost, and they’ll be looking to make those three points back, this time in the foe’s house. We’ll see which team will get the upper hand this time around.
Tale of the Tape:
Orange County SC: 13 points (4-2-1), 2nd place in Pacific Division; Goal Difference: +4; Last five games: W-W-D-W-L
LA Galaxy II: 11 points (3-4-2), 3rd place in Pacific Division; Goal Difference: +4; Last five games: L-L-W-L-D
