Bob Bradley says LAFC working to get Cristian Arango deal done

Sounds like it could be wrapped soon.

Colombian Football League Primera A - Liga BetPlay Dimayor Opening Tournament 2020

Bob Bradley previously acknowledged LAFC’s reported interest in Colombian striker Cristian Arango, and on Friday, the head coach gave an update of sorts on the situation regarding the transfer pursuit.

While reports in Colombia mooted the deal to be done earlier in the week, LAFC have not publicly commented on them aside from Bradley’s responses to the media.

Bradley was asked if the player has already made his way stateside.

“He’s not in Los Angeles yet,” Bradley told reporters. “I know that John [Thorrington] is working on the time frame for him, and we’re hopeful that it can move quickly, like it did last year with with [Jesus David Murillo].”

Arango was one of the top scorers in the league for Millonarios last season and has not been part of the club’s games to open the current campaign, in anticipation of his departure.

But Bradley tends to be a straight shooter when it comes to answering questions about transfer targets and it sounds like if the club can fully get the deal over the line, it could be announced in a matter of days. Stay tuned.
